Regions in PowerWorld Simulator
The “Region” data structure, introduced with PowerWorld Simulator version 24, provides a way to group power system elements by geographic regions. A Region is defined as a polygon with latitude and longitude coordinates of its vertices. Regions may be loaded from shapefiles or auxiliary (*.aux) files, or defined graphically in PowerWorld Simulator. They may also be stored in auxiliary files.
