IDV to AUX: Bring your IDV files. Work in PowerWorld Simulator.

Get a head start with analysis in PowerWorld Simulator! IDV to AUX translates IDV files into PowerWorld AUX files — accurately, transparently, and entirely offline.

Start with an IDV file, and IDV to AUX produces an AUX file that clearly identifies what translated and what didn’t, so nothing silently vanishes. The resulting AUX file can be read directly into PowerWorld Simulator to modify case data. It is available as both a desktop application and a command-line tool.

The current release handles a limited set of case modification constructs, typically found in archived IDV files and off-cycle case updates — the edits that customers script and share most often. Collaborative development is ongoing, with testing against real customer data and examples documented down to the field. No cloud, no guesswork. Just a reliable bridge into the PowerWorld ecosystem.

As development continues, we invite users to test it with the IDV files they actually use. Your feedback will help drive what gets added next and where coverage is expanded.
