Software Patches

Features and Improvements

  • Contingency Analysis Tool: Modified reading of CON files to support commands for LOAD, SHUNT, MACHINE or UNIT, SWSHUNT, TWOTERMDC, and VSCDC objects. These include commands to SET, CHANGE, ALTER, MODIFY, INCREASE, RAISE, DECREASE, and REDUCE.
  • Bug Fixes

    • Transient Stability: Fixed a bug in REPC_A model. The parameter dbd was translated incorrectly when saving the model as a dyr model (REPCA1). It was writing as the dbd upper limit the MVA base limit of the REPC_A model. This was corrected and now the upper limit correctly.
    • Transient Stability: Having a WTDTA1 drive train model at a wind turbine unit was causing a validation error in Transient Stability, even though a compatible pitch controller was present. This would have shown up in software versions of January 15, 2025. This has been corrected -- Type 3 generation 2 pitch controllers (WTGPT_A, WTPTA1, WTGPT_B) are compatible with the same generation of drive train models (WTGT_A, WTGT_B, WTDTA1).
    • User Interface Dialogs: Refine the GUI for the Find Parallel Branches dialog so that it automatically refreshes the list as the options for filtering are changed. Removed the Apply button from the dialog.
