Two New Short Courses Utilizing PowerWorld for Fall 2019
If any of you are looking for a short course focused on electric grid dynamics and stability utilizing PowerWorld, we wanted to let you know that one will be offered by Texas A&M in College Station Texas on September 24-26, 2019. The instructors for this course are PowerWorld co-founder Tom Overbye, PowerWorld superuser Tracy Rolstad, Jose Conto from ERCOT and the PowerWorld Director of Software Development Jamie Weber. While not a PowerWorld training course, this course will make use of PowerWorld Simulator to demonstrate many of the concepts associated with power system dynamics. A second short course more specifically focused on advanced PowerWorld software applications is “Automating PowerWorld with Python,” which will be offered on November 19-21, 2019 again at Texas A&M. The instructors for this course are Tom Overbye, Tracy Rolstad, PowerWorld employee Caroline Marzinzik and Adam Birchfield. This course is specifically focused on PowerWorld, presenting several different methods for advanced automation of power system analysis.
