Advanced Filters Display

The Advanced Filters Display is a Case Information Display available under the folder Conditions, Filters, and Expressions on the Model Explorer. The purpose of this display is to list any advanced filters you have defined for the current case. Each record will list the name of the filter, the type of object the filter is for, and filter logic.

Normally you will create advanced filters directly on a case information display that is showing a particular object type. However you can also choose Insert from the Case Information Toolbar Records Menu to create an advanced filter. You will then be prompted to choose the object type on a dialog before proceeding to the Advanced Filters Dialog.

Normally you will delete advanced filters from the Advanced Filters Dialog, however you can also choose Delete from the Case Information Toolbar Records Menu to delete an advanced filter. This will then remove the filter from any case info displays, dynamic formatting definitions, select by criteria definitions, or any other locations that are presently using this advanced filter.

The most common use of this display is using the Case Information Toolbar: Save Auxiliary Files Menu option to save a list of advanced filters to an auxiliary file. Saving to an auxiliary file makes it easy to transfer defined Advanced Filters from one case to another.

Advanced Filters can be created to filter the list of Advanced Filters. This is most useful if only wanting to save filters for a particular object type or from a particular Data Maintainer.
