Oneline Viewer
The Oneline Viewer provides an easy way to organize and view a large number of oneline diagrams. It is accessible in the View Ribbon Group on the Onlines Ribbon Tab.
Oneline Navigation
The Oneline Navigation pane on the left can be pointed at a specific folder in the file system to watch. It populates with any display files or folders containing display files, so a basic hierarchical organization can be constructed. Double-clicking a listed file will open that display in the window to the right. Recently viewed displays are listed as tabs.
Use the Browse button to set the folder of interest (by default it looks in the directory of the current case). The Refresh button re-loads the target folder; use this button to update the Oneline Viewer to accurately display any changes that made have been made while the viewer was open.
Keywords provide another means of organizing PWD files: the Keywords folder in the Oneline navigation pane contains links to onelines, sorted by keywords . Currently, keywords and other metadata can only be added to PWD files.
Note that the navigation pane is populated with all display files in the target directory structure, not just those which can be linked to the current case.
Oneline Metadata
PowerWorld PWD oneline files can contain metadata useful for organization. The metadata of any PWD file displayed in the Oneline Navigation can be set with the Edit View Metadata button below the navigation pane. The view can be given a name different than its file name, a longer description, and a list of organizational keywords (comma delimited). These keywords allow for flexible organizational schemes.
Supported Display Files
The Oneline Viewer currently links three types of display file:
PWD
PowerWorld's own oneline display format. These files can contain metadata useful for sorting in the Oneline Viewer.
AXD
PowerWorld's text format for display files.
DDL
Areva display files can be read in and displayed in Simulator under some circumstances. The case must be an HDB export directly from the Areva/Alstom State Estimator or Contingency Analysis model, and a customized AUX file is needed to guide the conversion. If you are interested in opening Areva displays in Simulator, please contact PowerWorld.
