Save Merged FixedNumBus Case

Fully Topology cases are best used when using PowerWorld Simulator's Integrated Topology Processing Add-on. Without this add-on you can use many features to navigate looking at the power system model, but the numerical solutions will not be as effective and reliable.

You can however use a special feature in the File menu of the program to choose

File\Save Merged FixedNumBus Case

This will save a case (PWB or RAW file) which includes all the FixedNumBus and any additional bus needed because the FixedNumBus has been split into multiple electrical points and thus has multiple voltage/angle phasors. For example, in the image below you original case is represented by the top portion of the image. In this example, we assume that the LEFT, MIDDLE, and RIGHT shaded regions represent 3 different FixedNumBus groupings in the case. When choosing to save a Merged FixedNumBus case, the resulting case will have 4 buses in it. This is because the LEFT ring bus has been split into 2 electrical points and in order to maintain the integrity of the case we must have separate voltage phasors.
