This is a team exercise using PowerWorld
Simulator. You will use the simulation cases already provided with the
software. Teams should have two to three students
- Operate the B7Flat System to achieve lowest system cost over the
operating period under the following conditions: no unexpected
events and occasional unexpected events. Any overloads should be
relieved as soon as possible. Loss of load is, of course, not
acceptable. Report the total system cost at the end of the
operating period. Report total inadvertent energy flows and
penalize "positive" inadvertent energy at $0.05 per kWh.
Your costs will be compared to the other teams to determine which
team has the best operators (from a power system perspective).
